Genesis
Gabrielle Bourne has been positively impacted by a healthy lifestyle since birth, including organic gardens, recycling household trash, learning to compost, running at a young age and maintaining a very active life. Her sense of "adventure" manifested before her teen years with extensive travels abroad, cultural meet and greets and supporting human rights through Amnesty International and Conservation through Green Peace. With the advent of commercial internet, Gabrielle started to follow adventure expeditions posted by Dan Buetner, who later wrote the ground-breaking book, "The Blue Zones."
Through her involvement with Eco-Challenge, a global endurance athletic event where racers trek more than 500 miles, whilst conserving the natural resources, to her involvement with Civil Military Operations in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq, to her own cultural expeditions in over 18 countries, Gabrielle has solidified a life's belief that the only limitations you place are the ones of your own making due to fear. Gabrielle has become a "fearless" adventurer of life.
Collabourative Partnership
We are flexible, easily deployable and can fluidly blend into any cultural landscape. We partner with corporate, community-based organizations and government entities to provide value added strategic health and wellness benefits to individuals, the workforce and the community at large. We go beyond just programming health fairs exercised by many institutions. We support "every" aspect of strategic wellness including the physical, the mental and the spiritual "well-being." We achieve this through S.M.A.R.T. strategic planning process.
What is Wellness?
Wellness is the "state of being" in complete partnership with your body, mind and spirit. It is what allows you to live your "best" life, free from worry, negative energy and the inability to be productive, thrive and prosper.
Wellness has been unfortunately misunderstood as just good diet and exercise. Yes, these are important, but more so is the sense that your life has some meaning, you have a definitive direction, incredible focus and hitting the marks on your objectives and goals. If you become unemployed, hospitalized for an illness, lose a loved one, go through a divorce, your business suffers, or other "life altering" situations, how well do you handle them? Do you succumb or successfully maneuver the momentary setbacks?
Understanding Paradigms
dd
Paradigm is your belief system. A man living in the rain forest and walking (2) miles each day will not miss a car because he has never experienced driving. A child growing up eating sugar and fats does not understand any different because she has never experienced eating any other way. Whilst some belief systems like the man in the rain forest can be a basis of wellness, the habits of the child will most likely add to the already burdened health care system as she undoubtedly will be a statistic and add to the already burdened obesity problem.
If we can understand how someone thinks and processes life experiences, we can then help them to achieve and alter habits for their continued growth and development as a person. Our objective is clear. It is NEVER to "force," but to "inspire."
